The victim, a 48-year-old man, told the authorities he was engaged in a conversation with Norman, and that led to the Bo Robinson employee performing oral sex on the inmate in the elevator.
“The victim claimed he didn’t want to resist or defend himself due to an upcoming release date,” Lt. Based on the investigation, Norman, a 30-year-old city resident, was charged with sexual assault.
The owner of the restaurant where the recent alleged sexual conduct took place said he was made aware of the circumstances by his management.
He was told that some lady came to the counter and spoke with Brown.
He said NJDOC’s Special Investigation Division was contacted “the day (the company) discovered this.” “Once we contact them, it’s out of our hands,” Seigel added.
“Technically, the manager is supposed to say ‘no,’” he said Tuesday.Brown was employed at the restaurant under the halfway house’s work release program. The workers claimed Plesnarski would ask to speak to Brown outside because she was her counselor. He was ultimately fired from Community Education Centers.“CEC takes charges like this very seriously,” Seigel said at the time. But in a similar case, authorities were called to the Enterprise Avenue halfway house.Lamar Norman, a Bo Robinson counselor, was charged on June 9 for allegedly performing unwanted oral sex on an inmate during an elevator ride after a police investigation.“Any sexual conduct of any kind between a staff member and resident is unacceptable and against all company and facility policies and is not tolerated.” A series of Trentonian articles have documented escaped inmate deaths, protocol failures, substance abuse issues and questionable drug testing practices at the privately run halfway house, leading to a call from state Sen.Shirley Turner for greater oversight of the facility. The New Jersey Sex Offender Internet Registry collects information about sex offenders deemed most likely to commit another crime and makes that information available to the public for safety reasons.Bo Robinson employees apparently can’t keep their hands off the inmates.
