NOTE: Not all meetings have a Special Focus or Special Topic.Special Focus Meetings (gay and lesbian, women’s, 100-pounders, maintainers, anorexic/bulimic, etc.) are composed of individuals who feel they can more readily identify with fellow OAers with similar attributes.These offices are usually staffed by volunteer OA members who will be happy to answer your questions and assist you in finding a meeting in your area.
The court will encourage the parties to reach a settlement on property and debt issues otherwise the court will declare the property award.If the court discovers it does not have jurisdictional rights to hear the case it will not be accepted or it will eventually be dismissed.The requirements are as follows: No court shall grant a divorce to any person who has not been a bona fide resident of this state for six months before the filing of the petition for divorce, provided that any person who has been a resident of any United States army post or military reservation within this state for one year next preceding the filing of the petition may bring an action for divorce in any county adjacent to the United States army post or military reservation; and provided, further, that a nonresident of this state may file a petition for divorce, in the county of residence of the respondent, against any person who has been a resident of this state and of the county in which the action is brought for a period of six months prior to the filing of the petition.The court will assign a case number and have jurisdictional rights to facilitate and grant the orders concerning, but not limited to: property and debt division, support, custody, and visitation.The name of the court is clearly represented at the top of all documents that are filed.(Georgia Code - Sections: 19-5-5) The Petition for Divorce must declare the appropriate Georgia grounds upon which the divorce is being sought.The appropriate lawful ground will be that which the parties agree upon and can substantiate, or that which the filing spouse desires to prove to the court.There are anywhere from ten to twenty other documents that may be required throughout the filing process.A few other documents that are typically filed during the process are: Disclosure Statement, Domestic Relations Financial Affidavit , Marital Settlement Agreement, Affidavit Regarding Custody, and Domestic Relations Case Filing Information Form. The clerk or the clerk's assistants will be the people managing your paperwork with the court.All meetings are considered open unless otherwise indicated.Closed Meeting: Open to anyone with a desire to stop eating compulsively or anyone who thinks they may have a problem with compulsive overeating.
